The Accumulair Gold MERV 8 air filter uses electrostatically charged, 100% synthetic media and is designed to fulfill a variety of needs. The material used in all Accumulair filters works like tiny magnets to attract fine particles - similar to how dust is attracted to a TV screen. Other filters, like fiberglass and washable/reusable, can miss these allergens. Plus, Accumulair filters have a galvanized steel support grid which helps withstand bending or collapsing caused by pressure created by air movement through the filter.

No chemicals have been added to this product because the Accumulair filtering material will not support the growth of bacteria, mold, mildew, or fungi in normal use.

Ideal for homes without people who suffer from asthma or allergies and no smoking.

MERV 8 is comparable to MPR 600 and FPR 6 rating air filters.
