What is APR?
APR, short for Accumulair Performance Rating, is a scale developed by Accumulair Filters to indicate filter efficiency. Higher APR ratings signify better performance in capturing small airborne particles. It's important to note that APR is specific to Accumulair filters and is an internal rating system.
What is MERV?
MERV, or Minimum Efficiency Reporting Value, measures how effectively an air filter removes dust particles and airborne contaminants. A higher MERV rating indicates greater efficiency in capturing these particles, resulting in cleaner air passing through the filter.

When should I change my air filter?
If You Have Pets
Pets can shed fur and dander, which can accumulate in your air filter. To prevent buildup and maintain air quality, change your filter every 6 weeks.
For Allergy and Asthma Sufferers
If anyone in your home has allergies or asthma, it's crucial to maintain the best indoor air quality. Change your filter every 2 months to keep the air clean and healthy.
With Young Children
Clean air is especially important for young children. To ensure their environment is safe, change your filter every 2-3 MONTHS.
